The works that will complete the urbanization of the Murtal II sector, which has been undergoing for years, have already begun, after last September the Government Council Benidorm City Hall approved the project of timely modification of the Partial Plan. This urbanization will generate space for educational, sports and recreational use, and children's games, as recalled the mayor, Toni Pérez, who has visited the sector together with the councilwoman of Urbanism, Lourdes Caselles, to see the progress of the works.

Pérez recalled that the Partial Plan Murtal II affects the soil between Colombia Avenue and the future Guatemala Avenue; that is, in the immediate vicinity of the In Tempo building and the Sunset Drive complex being built by the TM group.

The urbanization of the sector is the responsibility of the Compensation Board - former figure of the developer agent - is valued at 1.9 million euros, and will finish in less than six months.

With this urbanization almost 15,000 square meters of public gardens with trees and lawns will be created and a play area of ​​4,000 square meters, a portion of educational use of just over 8,700 meters and a sports park of more than 7,000 square meters . In addition, the City Hall will receive a plot of 4,000 square meters, which corresponds to 10% of the use of the sector.

The mayor stressed that the urbanization "will allow opening Moralet Avenue - already under construction - and half of Guatemala Avenue, until the link with the sector PP 2/1." In fact, it is up to the developers of the latter to run the other half of the avenue. Likewise, he has insisted that the development of this sector gives continuity to the urban fabric and generates streets, garden zones and public endowments in a hitherto unused space.
