The VII Tapas and Pinchos Competition of Benidorm has already winners in its edition of 2017
Margen Restobar wins in traditional category, Ole tu cono and Cruz Blanca, in original. Ole tu cono also gets the audience award
The 7th Benidorm Tapas and Tapas Competition, which starts Benidorm Gastronómico, has already winners. 26 establishments in the city have struggled to obtain the first prizes in the three modalities: best tapa or traditional pincho, best tapa or original pincho and special prize of the public. P>
The delivery of the diplomas has been held this afternoon at El Torrejó, an event that has brought together a large number of professionals from the local catering industry and attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez and other colleagues of the corporation the president of Abreca-Cobreca (Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafes in Benidorm), Javier del Castillo and the goodfather of Benidorm Gastronomic 2017, Pedro Cintas and Juan Brotons. In his speech, Toni Pérez recalled that the Tapas and Pinchos Competition is the "dean activity of Benidorm Gastronómico" and at the same time its a "fundamental part" because it shows neighbors and visitors "a showcase" with the gastronomic offer of the city and "the good work that their restaurants do". This gastronomic proposal, said the mayor "is the model in which we must persevere so that Benidorm is a gastronomic reference", national and international. Finally, Pérez has congratulated establishments and consumers users, especially these ones because once again has been shown with this contest "the involvement of the city" with its professionals.

Awards
The award for the best tapa or traditional pincho has been for Margen Restobar for 'Salpicón de pulpo en pincho'; the finalists have been Solotula and La Tabernita del Sur. The prize for the best top or original skewer has been ex aequo for Ole tu Cono by 'Marmitako Korean with kimchi and Galician mussel' and for Cruz Blanca, for its 'Pluma que te hará llorar'; The finalists have been Terra Atlántica and La Mejillonera. The prize of the public has fallen on Ole tu Cono, also for 'Pato Pekin crujiente con frutos secos' and have been finalists El Txoco, Authentic, Zarzosa and La Cava Aragonesa. P>
The VI Tapas and Pinchos Competition has been organized by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with Abreca-Cobreca and with the support of Visit Benidorm Foundation and the Diputación de Alicante. The next event of Benidorm Gastronómico 2017 will be the II Contest of the Brocheta, on September 23 and will come to an end with the Sixth Conference of the Rice of the Earth, scheduled for October 21. p>
