Two tons of colored powders for the third edition of the Color Road in Benidorm
Registration for this entertaining and non-competitive race, which takes place on September 24, is already open
Benidorm will host on September 24 the third edition of Color Road, the non-competitive and playful race organized by the Commissio de Festes Majors Patronals and the mercantile Unievento with the collaboration of the Department of Sports and Festivals. The councilors of both areas, Arturo Cabrillo and Jesús Carrobles, presented this new edition of the test together with the Vice-president of the Commission 2017, Pepe López Aperador, and the representative of Univento, Carlos Mateos.
Cabrillo has detailed that "the test is over 5 kilometers" and "its particularity is that at each kilometer point there is a color zone where participants are sprayed with innocuous and biodegradable powders of different shades." Concretely, "two tons" of these powders will be launched, according to the representative of the organizing company.
The councilor of Sports has emphasized that it is an activity "aimed at all audiences" and in which no matter the physical form, since the circuit can be completed "walking, running or dancing." In fact, as has been insisted from the organization, "it is about promoting healthy leisure" and "to spend Sunday morning in a fun way." The councillor of Fiestas, for his part, has been "convinced of the work made by the Commission to make people have fun," and has encouraged "everyone to participate in both the test and the subsequent party in the Plaza SSMM Reyes de España "and thus contribute to raise funds for local festivities in November.
The Color Road will start and finish in Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, from where the runners will leave at 11.00. At the end of the event, there will be bars instaleed by the members of the Fiestas Commission and "a zumba activity sponsored by Sport Club Fiesta Park", one of the sponsors of the race, according to has advanced the vice president of the Commission. In addition, the members of the clubs are working so that during the journey there is more animation and novelties".
The organization has launched inscriptions at promotional prices for adults, children, families and groups. The inscriptions are open at www.colorroad.es and there will also be several physical points of sale that will be announced in the next few days.
Last summer theme party
The Vice-President of the Commission of Festes Majors Patronals has recalled that this Saturday, August 26, the mayorals organize their third and last summer theme party, which this time is dedicated to the 90s. López has indicated that from the 20.00 hours will be able to hear musical themes that marked that decade, and invited neighbors and visitors to approach the Castle to share a night with the members of the Fiestas Commission and make them dressed following the aesthetics of those years.
