The tour 'OT 2017 El Concierto' arrives in Benidorm on August 4
The tour 'Operación Triunfo 2017 El Concierto' will arrive in Benidorm on August 4th. This has been announced today by the acting mayor, Ana Pellicer; the councilman of Events and Festivals, José Ramón González de Zárate; and Joe Pérez-Olive, Marketing Director of Live Nation and jury of this edition of the well-known television program. This concert, scheduled at Estadio Guillermo Amor, is one of only two scheduled in the Valencian Community and one of the last of the tour, in which the 16 contestants of Operación Triunfo participate.
The acting mayor stated that this concert is "one of the highlights" of the summer program of events and notes "the diversification" of Benidorm's musical offer, which, in this case, is aimed at "the family audience". Pellicer has predicted success to this concert in view of "the great impact that the program has had", which during its broadcast was followed weekly by more than three million spectators and by eight million on the day of the Final Gala. An impact to the contribution, even more, the fact that two contestants of the 'talent show' will represent this weekend in Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Joe Pérez has anticipated that the production of the tour is "wonderful" and that on the stage of Benidorm will be "exactly the same show" as in the rest of the performances. A show "very diverse" and that "has the quality of encompassing different genres of music in the same concert", which allows "enjoy moments of pop, rock moments and other more flamenco" depending on the character and personality musical of each artist.
The head of Live Nation has valued very positively the choice of Benidorm, since it is the only action scheduled to date in a city "not capital of the province".
The Councilor for Events and Festivals, meanwhile, has assured that the Operación Triunfo is "one of the best 'shows' of 2018", and thanked the producer that has opted for Benidorm before the barrage of requests that had from other cities. It was also advanced that in the coming days and weeks more performances of important artists will be announced; and has influenced that the fact that the city hosted the Annual Meeting of the Association of Musical Promoters in February has been a great opportunity to make known to the sector "the great infrastructures" and "the great offer of accommodation" that Benidorm has to host large-scale and openwork events.
