A delegation of Benidorm City Council visits the Smart Office in Valencia exchanging experiences in work sessions

A delegation from Benidorm City Council headed by Mayor Toni Pérez and integrated by the councilor for Innovation, Aida García Mayor; the director of Visit Benidorm, Leire Bilbao; the coordinator of the entity Gestor DTI Celia Romero; the heads of departments integrated in the process Vicente Mayor, Luis Manuel García Felonés and Mercedes Llorca, together with municipal technicians, has gone this morning to Valencia to know the platform for integrated management of Smart Cities that has the Valencian city council and that it implies in the modernization and adaptation of the municipal services in their digital transformation to solve in the most efficient way the needs and desires of citizens.
The goal of DTI planning for Benidorm, the world's first Certified Smart Tourism Destination, is to turn Benidorm into a smart city by learning and integrating the concepts and initiatives that work in other DTIs, and can be tested, to be applied in the partner environment -economic of Benidorm and solve with them citizen problems and thus achieve a higher quality of life for residents and visitors.
An intelligent and sustainable city, says the UNE 178021 standard, is a city that takes advantage of ICT and other technological means to improve the quality of life of citizens and achieve maximum efficiency of municipal services, while ensuring the needs of the future generations.
Under this premise, the delegation from Benidorm has visited Valencia Smart Office and has held working sessions with the Strategic Initiatives Directorate and known the actions in the Mobility Control Center, as well as the developments and initiatives of the Department of Tourism, exchanging experiences.
