The Town Hall, the Tossal de La Cala and the Castell will be illuminated tonight with the golden color for the ephemeris

Today Benidorm commemorates the celebration of International Childhood Cancer Day with the motto 'A better survival is possible'

15 February 2023
Benidorm conmemora la celebración hoy del Día Internacional del Cáncer Infantil con el lema ‘Una mejor supervivencia es posible’.

Benidorm commemorated International Childhood Cancer Day this afternoon with the reading of a manifesto at the main door of the City Hall and the placement of a golden ribbon on the building's façade.

With the motto 'A better survival is possible', the manifesto recalled that "there are still many people and entire families who still need support, love and a lot of care" and for this reason, on this day, they wanted to "thank the mothers and parents for how you care for your daughters and sons with cancer”.

In reading it, "the work done by health and psychology professionals, social workers and teaching staff" was appreciated and the importance of this work was highlighted because "you get them to move forward with essential support". “It is important that a girl or boy has the same opportunities to experience unforgettable moments and that not all of her family revolve around cancer. Every day you stop the emotional footprints left by this disease. Thank you for being our caregivers and never letting go” concludes the manifesto.

On the occasion of the commemoration of this International Day, the facade of the Town Hall, the Castell, and the Tossal de La Cala will be illuminated tonight with the golden color, distinctive of this event.
