Thousands of neighbors and tourists of Benidorm have received the pack of cyclists of the Vuelta 2017 to its passage today by Benidorm, within the route of the 9th stage between Orihuela and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Cyclists have toured the city on Paseo de Poniente and Jaime I, Alfonso Puchades and Comunidad Valenciana avenues.
The aerial plans of Benidorm have centered on Paseo de Poniente, the recently inaugurated Park of Foietes and in panoramas of the complete city. On the sand of Poniente, in addition, there has been a composition with hammocks in which one could read 'I love Benidorm', and that has enjoyed several seconds of live retransmission in the plane taken by the helicopter of the Vuelta.
That is the image that Benidorm has projected before the spectators of 190 countries of the world, among them more than 1.4 million in Spain that follow every day the retransmission of the stage through Teledeporte and TVE. A figure that could be higher since the stages that culminate in high, as it is the case of the stage of today, tends to raise more interest among the spectators.
90 minutes before the cyclists arrived in Benidorm has been made the advertising caravan of La Vuelta, which has made its stop on the Avenida Armada Española with distribution of samples and 'merchandising' among the fans who have followed the race.
