Benidorm celebrated one of its most anticipated events tonight with the celebration of the Dia de les Penyes Playback Competition, organised by the Verge del Sofratge Association of Penyes, chaired by Jonathan López.

In addition to the participating groups, the Major and Children's Queens of the Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pascual and Aitana Pérez, and their courts of honour performed on stage, albeit outside the competition.

Once the performances concluded, the jury deliberated, and the awards were presented in a festive and participatory atmosphere. Afterwards, the party continued until the early hours of the morning in the auditorium itself, livened up by DJ music.
In the children's category, the 'Bavallons' group won first prize and 500 euros; In second place was 'Malfaeners' with 400 euros; in third place was 'El Parotet' with 300 euros. Next were 'L'Espardenya', 'Esquirols', and 'Estem com volem', each awarded 100 euros.

In the adult category, the winner was 'La Revolada', receiving 1,200 euros; in second place was 'La Castanya', with 1,000 euros; in third place was 'Mal de cap', with 800 euros; and in fourth place was 'La Resistencia', with 600 euros.

The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councillor for Festivals, Mariló Cebreros, along with the President of the Association of Clubs and the President of the Commission, Susana Martínez, presented the awards to the winning clubs, accompanied by the trophies for the morning scavenger hunt. The winner was the "24 i jo" club, which will be responsible for organising the competition next year.

The evening concluded with a fireworks display and a lively musical session by Radio Benidorm, SER network, bringing the finishing touches to a day that once again demonstrated the city's festive spirit.
