The Territorial Council of FP in the Marina Baixa meets its technical committee in Benidorm

The Municipal Centre of El Torrejó hosted this Friday the meeting of the technical commission of the Territorial Council of Vocational Training in the Marina Baixa, whose main objectives are to improve the offer of vocational training courses in the municipalities in the region and adapt it to the new demands in the labour market.
The councillors for Education and Employment and Local Propmotion of the Benidorm City Council, Maite Moreno and Mónica Gómez, have participated in this work meeting, which has also been attended by representatives of other councils in the region whose institutes offer vocational training courses, such as Altea, La Vila Joiosa, Callosa d’en Sarrià, La Nucía and l’Alfàs del Pi; as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education, of the trade union centres and the CEV business confederation.
The Marina Baixa FP Territorial Council met last February in the Plenary Hall of Benidorm City Council to renew its composition and reactivate its technical composition, in a meeting that was chaired by the general director of FP of the Generalitat Valenciana, Marta Armendia, and the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez.
Now, after the reactivation of the technical commission, its members have held the first working meeting to update the analysis document and the report on training needs in the region that was carried out in 2023 and is now going to be updated.
In the Marina Baixa there are twelve public centers with Vocational Training offers and five of them are located in Benidorm. They offer more than 60 training cycles belonging to 18 different professional families, which shows the great variety that exists and is within reach of the population.
