Sports department renews and waterproofs the stands of Guillermo Amor stadium...

The Benidorm City Council has started the refurbishment works of the stands of the Municipal Stadium ‘Guillermo Amor’ in Foietes. "One of the actions - said the mayor, Toni Pérez - that remained to be carried out this year of the Municipal Sports Facilities Improvement Plan, which aims to keep them in perfect condition to offer the best service to citizens." The works will involve the renovation and waterproofing of the seats of the stadium".

The mayor, together with the Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, have visited the Sports City to check the progress of the works and others taking place in the enclosure. In this way, they have supervised the progress of the works of the indoor football and volleyball courts, which have involved an investment of 48,261 euros. Both "will enter service as soon as the last layer of multiproduct dries", which at this time depends on the weather. The markings will then be painted and posts and goals will be placed.

Regarding the rest of the actions that affect the Sports City, Pérez has detailed that, following the plan, the perimeter fencing of the pelota court has been changed, an electronic scoreboard was installed on the artificial grass field and the hot water package was completely renewed with new accumulators that will give service to all the enclosure ”. Likewise, the mayor has emphasized the recent installation of a new pump in the pool "with the aim of keeping the water in a perfect state of purification and filtering".

Another facility that has benefited from the Municipal Sports Facilities Improvement Plan has been 'Raúl Mesa' pavilion where "the first phase of the new roofing has been executed, the placement of new lighting has begun and, in addition , an industrial cleaning machine for parquet floors has been put into service ”. The Department of Sports has also acquired material such as goals and mats for the athletics track.

Benidorm City Council has already invested 289,918 euros in the Municipal Sports Facilities Improvement Plan that have allowed the refurbishment and updating, in addition to Foietes Sports City, Antonio López Football Fields, the skating rink and Palau d 'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm.
