The City Council has reserved 1 million euros for this line of aid aimed at the production sector of Benidorm
The JGL approves the first remittance of aid linked to the receipt of garbage, which amounts to about 300,000 euros
The Local Government Board (JGL) yesterday approved the first batch of municipal aid to support the production sector of Benidorm and which is linked to the receipt of garbage. The mayor, Toni Pérez, has reported that "this first remittance amounts to 297,116.37 euros and reaches more than 800 beneficiaries."
Toni Pérez recalled that “these direct aid are part of the measures promoted by the local government to support the local productive fabric, which was affected by the state of alarm and subsequent regulations, and are intended to contribute to the maintenance of economic activity and employment ”.
The mayor has stressed that "for this call the City Council has reserved one million euros", and that the amount of aid per establishment reaches "up to 25% of the amount paid in the garbage receipt this year." Likewise, it has been reported that, "as in the rest of the grants and subsidies promoted by this local administration", the Technical Commission "that is in charge of evaluating and analyzing all the requests received will meet periodically to propose the approval of new remittances ”.
As stated in the bases, this call could be attended by persons, legal entities and communities of assets that have a habitual and permanent establishment for the development of their economic activity, which was suspended obligatorily by the decree of the state of alarm , which regulated the recoverable paid permit or the order to suspend the opening to the public of the tourist accommodation.
To benefit from the aid it is essential to have paid the receipt for the garbage tax corresponding to 2020 and be up to date with the payment of municipal taxes.
In total, more than 1,400 applications have been received for this line of aid.
