La Nova will perform tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center and L'Illa will do so on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at the same place
Sociedad Musical La Nova and L'Illa offer their Santa Cecilia concerts this weekend
The musical societies La Nova and L'Illa will offer their commemorative concerts for Santa Cecilia this weekend, as reported by the Department of Culture. The two events will take place at the Cultural Center and admission will be free in both cases until the venue's capacity is reached.
The first of the concerts, that of S. M. La Nova, will take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 2 at 8 p.m. at the Cultural Center under the direction of Francisco José Rovira Peretó and will be composed of two parts.
In the first part the Music School Band will perform with the following program: 'Military march number 1' by Franz Schubert; the symphonic poem 'La Storia', by Jacob de Haan and the song 'Sweet Caroline' arranged by Tim Walters.
The second part will be for the Symphonic Band with the pasodoble 'Socarrats y tramussers' by Jaume F. Ripoll Martins; ‘Steel Overture’ by José Alberto Pina; ‘Waltz number 2’ by Dimitri Shostakovich and ‘Miss Saigon’ by Schönberg and Boublil.
For its part, the Societat Musical L'Illa de Benidorm will begin its concert at noon on Sunday, December 3, also in the auditorium of the Cultural Center, with Felipe Juan Lanuza conducting.
