A manifesto has been read in which “total attention” to HIV infection and all sexually transmitted diseases has been demanded
Benidorm commemorates World AIDS Day with the placement of a ribbon on the balcony of the Town Hall
One more year, Benidorm has joined the commemoration of World AIDS Day, which in 2023 is celebrated under the motto 'Let communities lead'. Thus, this morning, a commemorative banner with a large red bow makes this anniversary visible. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Health, Ana Pellicer, members of the Corporation; and members of Amigos Benidorm association with its president Arnulfo González, have gathered at Plaza SS MM Reyes in Spain to support people living with HIV and remember those who have died from related diseases.
At that event, a manifesto was read in which it was stated that this day serves "to remember, inform and demand total attention to HIV infection and all other sexually transmitted infections and diseases." The manifesto has also condemned “all sexual assaults and gender violence” and has highlighted the “obligation to report all manipulations and sexual abuse by young people and adults of minors, especially by close members.”
