Equality plans to present and screen the 'shorts' at the end of August in Óscar Esplá auditorium
The six short films of ‘Documóvil project, promoted by the Department of Equality and in which ESO and Bachelor students of Benidorm participate, are now ready for their premiere. Throughout this week, and with the help of the project's Audiovisual teacher, the students have completed the assembly process of their 'shorts' in a space set up by the Equality Department in the City Hall building. Some short films that students themselves have previously written, scripted, shot and performed.
The councilor for the area, Ángela Zaragozí, shared a meeting today with the participants to learn more about their impressions of this third edition of 'Documóvil', in which “we have expanded one more group than in the previous ones, so that we will have six short films ”instead of five.
Zaragozí has advanced that "due to the fragments that we have been able to see during the editing process, the 'shorts' of this edition have an excellent level"; and she has highlighted that this ‘Documóvil’ “she has even had theater groups that have wanted to join in to enhance this audiovisual project”.
The person in charge of Equality has encouraged the public to "come and see the projection of the work of these boys and girls who, in addition to having a very positive experience, are more and more enthusiastic about the project every year". Likewise, she has stated that "it is a pride to see this group of boys and girls so involved in all gender issues, how they capture it and the hours they are dedicating to the entire creative process of the short film."
The ‘short films’ are scheduled to premiere at the end of August, on a day yet to be determined, at the Óscar Esplá auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera.
‘Documóvil’ is an initiative of the Department of Equality aimed at students from 3rd of ESO to 2nd of Bachelor and with which they start in audiovisual production and shoot their own short films with a central theme: gender equality. It is an extracurricular and free activity, in which students receive audiovisual training and gender equality; theoretical and practical knowledge that they later translate into their short films, shot with professional equipment.
