The Provincial Council begins tomorrow the works of the pedestrian - cyclist itinerary on the road linking Rincón de Loix and El Albir
Traffic will be restricted between Severo Ochoa avenue and El Trinquet roundabout
The Provincial Council of Alicante will start tomorrow, June 1, the works of implementation of a pedestrian-cycle route on the road linking Rincón de Loix and El Albir, CV-753, better known like the tourist road. The development of these works will entail deviations and traffic cuts on this road, as indicated by the Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate.
This work, valued at 300,000 euros, was included in the budget of the provincial institution on behalf of Ciudadanos (Cs) political group and provides the implementation of a pedestrian-cycle route of about a 1.5km stretch of CV-753, which runs between Severo Ochoa avenue and El Trinquet roundabout.
De Zárate said that according to the schedule of work sent by the company in charge of the works, during the first phase it will be proceeded "the cut traffic of the right lane of the CV-753 in the direction El Albir from the Finca Camino Viejo to the roundabout of Trinquet ". Thus, from Severo Ochoa avenue "only access is allowed to Villamar Camping and Finca Camino Viejo", therefore to move to El Albir you will have to walk along the avenue of the Valencian Community. As far as other residents and users are concerned, "they will be allowed access to the affected houses and establishments from the roundabout of El Trinquet circulating towards Benidorm".
The company has informed the City Council that these cuts will allow to execute all the work with greater diligence, in less time and in greater security conditions. This pedestrian-cyclist itinerary will link with the bike path of Severo Ochoa Avenue.
