The Provincial Council of Alicante supports the cycle of Major Recitals and the Festival of Theater at Christmas

Two activities organized by the Department of Culture of Benidorm have received financial support from the Provincial Council of Alicante through two lines of different grants. These are the Grandes Recitales cycle and the Teatro de Navidad festival, which have received between them about 11,000 euros.

The Great Recitals 2018, which were held last October, have been subsidized with 4,963.25 euros charged to the call for grants for activities of special importance. In the four weeks in which the event took place, musicians of first level and extensive professional trajectory passed through the stage of the Hall of the City Council. Specifically, in the concerts of this edition were the pianists José Mª Villegas and Carolina Santiago, the violinist Francisco Fullana and the saxophonist Nacho Gascón. In addition, the cycle included a concert by the finalists and winners in the Baixa Inter-Center Competition of the Saxophone, Trombone and Clarinet specialties.

Within the line of subsidy for the realization of cultural, musical and scenic activities, the council has granted a grant of 6,000 euros to the festival Theater at Christmas, which included the representation of the works 'In the clouds' by the company La Negra, 'Do not disturb' by Vaivén Circo, 'Navidad Rock' by Trebol Teatro, and 'There was once in the world' by Escenoart. These theatrical proposals could be seen in the Hall of the City Council Acts during the month of December.
