The plenary session approves the first agreements to obtain land for the Discotecas road and the roundabout to access the polygon
The plenary session of Benidorm has approved today with the vote of the councilors of the local government the agreements to set the fair price and the delivery of land by mutual agreement of the first ten farms to be expropriated by the City Council for the construction of the road known as the Discotecas road and the access roundabout to the industrial estate. The Councilor for Urban Development, Lourdes Caselles, recalled that the owners were notified of the expropriation file and the appreciation sheets that set the amounts to be paid by the City Council to obtain such land. As a result of that file, the corresponding "consent documents" have been signed, to which "no allegations have been submitted during the period of public exposure".
Caselles explained that an agreement has already been reached with the owner of "ten of the farms" to be expropriated, and has announced that more agreements will be voted on in successive agreements since "80% or 90% of the property will sign" the mutual agreement, thus avoiding reaching the Provincial Expropriation Jury or contentious-administrative proceedings. The mayor stressed that "the mutual agreement means that a good job has been done," and has stressed that "obtaining these soils" is an "important and preliminary" step to build the road and the access roundabout that will allow "The development of the partial plan of the industrial estate".
With the same result, the proposal to cede the condition of urbanizing agent of the sector PP 2/1 Poniente to the commercial Villaviñas has prospered. Caselles has indicated that the processing of this plan began in 2002 and that during "more than seven years it has been paralyzed". Its development, detailed, will involve "Vicente Pérez Devesa Avenue with Paseo de Poniente", and provides "a large green area" as well as various "public facilities" such as a 10,000 square meter car park.
With the support of all the councilors present, a motion has been approved to promote before the Consell the declaration of the Major Patron Festivities as a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community. According to the proposal, since its inception this party "has not ceased to increase exponentially the acts that comprise it, citizen participation - both residents and visitors - and the tourist impact of its celebration." Thus, and as reflected by the figures of the employer Hosbec, the hotel occupancy is "at 83.7% during the first half of November", which shows that the Major Employer Holidays get "Benidorm remains one of the focuses of the Valencian littoral par excellence "during that month, and contributing" to the deseasonalization ".

Also unanimously of those present, it has been agreed to empower the mayor, Toni Pérez, to formulate allegations to the Public Transport Project of Road Transporters CV-206, Metropolitan Benidorm "designed by the Consell and recently published in the Official Gazette of the Valencian Community (DOCV). According to the technicians, this project leaves the City Council "without competence in the field of transport in the next 10-12 years", prevents it from "intervening in the purchase of other vehicles" beyond those "detailed in the specifications of the Ministry ", has" negative effects on the realization of the SUMP, the SUTP and the SEAP ", makes it impossible for the local administration" to act on the tariff policy ", and" originates obligations "and traffic problems in the city.
