Parque de l’Aigüera hosts the Valencian Community Families Fair this Sunday
The Julio Iglesias Auditorium in L’Aigüera Park will host the Valencian Community Families Fair this Sunday, May 17th. This event is promoted by the Valencian Regional Government's Ministry of Social Services, Family and Childhood, headed by Minister Elena Albalat, in collaboration with the Benidorm City Council. Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, explained that some fifteen organizations will participate in the fair, which was created as “a meeting point and a space for community, within the framework of the International Day of Families, commemorated worldwide this Friday, May 15th, to raise awareness about the fundamental role of families in life and society.”
The event is open to the public and will take place between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Throughout the morning, families can enjoy a varied program with workshops for children and young people, awareness and information activities, theatrical performances, music, dance, and entertainment.
As outlined in the program, doors will open at 10:00 AM, and fifteen minutes later, the workshops and activities organised by participating entities will begin. These include family associations and organisations such as the Red Cross, Aspanion, and the Diagrama Foundation. At 10:30 AM, there will be family storytelling sessions, and at 11:15 AM, attendees can enjoy a performance by students from the Benidorm Municipal Elementary Dance Conservatory.
At noon, an official visit to the fair is scheduled, followed by another storytelling workshop. At 1:00 PM, the "Kids Festival" will begin and continue until the end of the event.
Councilwoman Ángela Zaragozí highlighted that this Family Fair is "a perfect opportunity to enjoy a morning outdoors in one of Benidorm's most emblematic spaces, with activities designed to promote coexistence, play and family participation," and invited families from Benidorm and other towns to participate in all the planned activities this Sunday.
