Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm hosts this weekend the National and International Electronic Darts Championship organized by the Bullshooter Dart Federation, in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Benidorm City Council. The councilor of the area, Javier Jordá, has stated that this competition, which each year chooses Benidorm as its headquarters, will bring together more than 4,500 darts players, although throughout the weekend the championship will mobilize more than 10,000 people, including participants, family, and friends, to enjoy the competition.

The Sports Councilor has also highlighted that it is an event "with a significant economic impact on the city, due to the high number of participants and overnight stays and because it is held in November", in an out-of-season period. high and where “events like this bring audiences and income to both the hotels and the rest of the economic fabric of our town.”

“The organizers themselves recognize that it is the participants who want this championship to be in Benidorm because here they find an excellent climate, high-quality hotels, and possibilities for leisure and fun that are very difficult to find anywhere else at this time of the year, showing great loyalty to the city,” Jordá stressed.

The competition began yesterday, Thursday the 23rd, with the Individual Cricket Championship. Today, Friday, it will be the turn of the Team and Couples Cricket tournament, while tomorrow, Saturday the 25th, it will be the turn of the National Teams and Couples – DYP (Blind) Cricket tournament. Finally, Sunday the 26th will be the time of the International Grand Final and the National Team Final, with the closing ceremony and trophy presentation scheduled for around 12:30 p.m.
