Pacte per l’Ocupació is organizing four workshops in Benidorm on techniques to improve job searching
Marina Baixa Employment Pact (POMB) will offer four free workshops in Benidorm this November, providing techniques to improve job searching. This was announced by Mónica Gómez, Benidorm City Council's Employment Councillor and president of this regional body, who explained that POMB technicians have designed a training program consisting of the following workshops: "Starting Point for Active Job Searching," "Capsule Wardrobe," "Smartphone in Job Searching," and "Social Media and Personal Branding in Job Searching."
The first two workshops will be held on November 6th and 20th at the Municipal Central Library, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM; while the other two will take place on November 21st and 27th at the Youth Information Centre, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Mónica Gómez emphasised the “importance of using a good strategy to access the job market” and encouraged unemployed residents of the municipality to register for these workshops to “improve their skills and knowledge, which can be applied to make their job search more effective.”
Registration for anyone interested in participating in one of these workshops can be done through the POMB website: https://pomb.es/inscripcion-a-taller/, as well as by email at juventud@benidorm.org.
Pacte per l’Ocupació de la Marina Baixa (Employment Pact of the Marina Baixa) was established on March 10, 2023, with the signatures of representatives from the 18 municipalities that make up this region, along with the CCOO, UGT, and CEV unions. The project's main lines of action are improving the job placement of priority groups and promoting specialised vocational training. It currently has around thirty collaborating organisations.
This second phase of activity began on June 25, 2025, with the addition of the technical and administrative staff who will be responsible for developing the various projects during the 2025-2026 period. The POMB is subsidised by LABORA, through funds from the SEPE (State Public Employment Service). “Thanks to this project, initiatives are being developed in the areas of entrepreneurship, employment, and training, contributing to improving employability throughout the Marina Baixa region,” commented Mónica Gómez.
