The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; and the queens of the Major Festivities, Fátima Carrobles and Anna Calbo, accompanied by their courts of honor, have presided over the inauguration of 'Plaza de la Navidad', located at Plaza de SSMM Los Reyes de España.
Plaza del Ayuntamiento was crowded with families and the traditional countdown began on a giant screen to illuminate the whole square and enjoy fireworks. Benidorm has advanced this year five days the opening of BeniNadal 2018-2019 so that on the long weekend of December there will already be a Christmas atmosphere in the city. The attractions, activities and performances will last until January 6, the day of the Three Wise Men Parade.
Shows, nativity scenes, varied and new attractions, as well as a larger ice skating rink than in previous editions, will once again be the protagonists for the youngest and for the whole family. Likewise, you can enjoy a nativity scene set up by Benidorm Nativity Scene Association at a real size, and it should be noted that there will be events daily such as the performance of the local artist Selene, who will perform live at Plaza de la Navidad.
