El británico Paul Streeter vence el ‘Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Masters’ de golf en una soleada tarde de diciembre

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the president of the Provincial Council of Alicante, César Sánchez, have presided this afternoon the awards ceremony of 'Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Masters 2018', which was held at the hotel's facilities' Meliá Villaitana Golf 'with an excellent weather and before a large influx of fans of this sport.

The winner of the tournament and winner of the 45,000 euros of the first prize has been the British Paul Streeter, who has won the Spanish Miguel Angel Jiménez on the hole of tiebreaker, and has received a prize of 30,000 euros. Both have finished the third day with a global card of 14 under par of the field (72 strokes), so it has been necessary to play the tie-break hole in which the British golfer has imposed thanks to a sensational second stroke that has let the ball a meter from the flag.

Toni Pérez congratulated the winners and the organization of the tournament, which according to his words "has been played for three days in unbeatable conditions, both for the excellent weather we have in Benidorm, and for the magnificent facilities where the tournament has been played". The president of the Provincial Council of Alicante, César Sánchez, has also stressed that "everyone who sees these images on television should know that yes, it is December 1 and in Benidorm we have this magnificent sun."

The ediles José Ramón González de Zárate and Arturo Cabrillo were also present at the awards ceremony; the president of Hosbec, Toni Mayor; the secretary of Hosbec, Nuria Montes; the president of the Valencian Golf Federation, Andrés Torrubia; as well as representatives of the tournament organization.
