Ociobal organizes the Nit de Sant Joan on Levante beach with the collaboration of Comissió de Festes
Bonfires and fire lamps on the beach will continue to be banned as in previous years
More than 30 Local Police officers and 8 lifeguards integrate the security device
The association of pubs and discotheques of Benidorm, Ociobal, with the collaboration of the Department of Fiestas, organizes on Paseo de Levante the Nit de Sant Joan, an event that will gather on the stage installed in Bilbao street the dj's, Aitor Belda , David Furylo and Manu Diaz. A show of light, animation and sound that will start at 7:00 p.m., will be extended until 1.00 am and this year, for the first time, will count on the participation of Commissio de Festes Majors Patronals. This was announced this morning in the presentation of the event by the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles; the president of Ociobal, Víctor Navarro; the director of the 40 Principales of Benidorm, Baldomero Giménez and the Vice-president of the Commission, Pepe Pérez.
The councilman of Fiestas highlighted the "very important" collaboration that the City Council maintains with Ociobal which began in 2015 with the organization of the New Year's Eve party, or the 'pre-party' events of the first order that last year promoted on the same stage the first Nit de Sant Joan. On this occasion, with the invitation addressed to the Commissio de Festes Patronals, it is guaranteed that "in the end everything works and that the city has the media impact it deserves," said Carrobles.
Víctor Navarro thanked the incorporation of the Festes Commission to the Nit de Sant Joan because this endorses that Benidorm offers an event "according to the quality" to which "we are accustomed to". For his part, Baldomero Giménez has detailed that there will be musical sessions every two hours with different "styles", each conducted by a disc jockey and that from 1.00, those who wish "can continue the party" but on the beach, to guarantee the rest of the neighbors.
Finally, Pepe Pérez, has recognized that the initial idea of the Commission of Festes Majors Patronals was to organize a party by its own but that "attentive to all the sensibilities and entrepreneurship" of Benidorm that requested, along with the City Council, cooperation, has opted for an agreement "that will benefit both parties. Ociobal is going to contribute with an economic amount to the patron saint festivities "in exchange for the collaboration of the Commission and that" will benefit Ociobal, the Comissió de Festes and Benidorm, which is what interests us.
Security and cleaning
More than 30 local police officers - between agents and commanders - will watch over safety on the sand and on Levante and Poniente promenades. To this device will be added those of the National Police and Civil Protection Corps, as indicated by the Councilor for Citizen Security and Beaches, Lorenzo Martínez, who has detailed that "three relief points located in front of Hotel Delfín, Avenida Bilbao and Parque de Elche will remain open. " In each of these points there will be an ambulance, while the rescue device will be composed of eight rescuers: two in La Cala, two in Elche Park, two in El Torrejó and the other two in Rincon.
Martínez recalled that, as in previous years, "it is forbidden to make bonfires on the beaches of Benidorm, nor are lamps or lanterns flying paraffin."
To ensure that the beaches are in perfect condition on Saturday, the concessionaire company has reinforced the usual cleaning device and in both, Poniente and Levante bags will be distributed for users to contribute collecting the waste generated. It is foreseen that at 03.00 hours the machines of the cleaning service will enter the beach, so that the local Police will proceed to vacate the place.
