Three light motorcycles and a quad to improve the service in the night shift and on the beaches
New vehicles expand the fleet of the Local Police of Benidorm
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, along with the Chief Intendant of the Local Police, Juan Fuertes, have presented this morning three new scooters and an off-road quad intended to renovate part of the local police car fleet.
The light motorcycles, intended to patrol urban areas, Kymco, 125 cc model, have four-stroke engines and a power of 9.5 kW. The quad, meanwhile, is an Arctic Cat model, with 695 SOHC engine, four times and four valves, will serve on the beaches.
Lorenzo Martínez has indicated that an investment of around 30,000 euros has been made with the aim of "reinforcing the commitment we have to improve what are the tools of the Local Police collective". For its part, Fuertes recalled that with this purchase, the police car park "is practically all renovated, recently acquired." Regarding the characteristics of the vehicles, he stressed that they are "very versatile" and will allow for increased vigilance and the presence of agents in neighborhoods and beaches "especially in Poniente area" and "in the night shift".
