The City Council acquired the premises, which has a space for meetings and works of EDUSI project and a neighborhood center
The new Municipal Branch on Maravall Street is open to the public
Today, Monday, the new municipal branch of Benidorm City Council, located at number 33 of Maravall street, in the premises that was occupied by the old Andalusian House, has opened to the public. The new office, like the rest of the network, will allow "to bring the City Council closer to the citizens to facilitate procedures related to the register, sports campaigns, registrations, enrollment in municipal courses, etc." as pointed out by the councilor for Municipal Branches, Mónica Gómez.
The new facility will operate with the same hours as the rest, from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm and will offer the same services, although due to the health situation, like the other venues, it will operate by appointment system.
The City Council, added the mayor, made "a great effort two years ago to acquire ownership of the premises", after the neighborhood stopped enjoying the service since the building in which the old municipal branch located in Limones street, which was launched in 2010, did not comply with urban regulations.
Mónica Gómez also recalled that the municipal branch has an EDUSI Zone, a unit that will serve as a "place of meetings and work for the project of the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy", since the neighborhood is involved in the draft.
Gómez has stressed that this large premises will allow people "not to have to go to the City Council for their municipal procedures", while emphasizing that the municipal branch "will also have a neighborhood center as a meeting place for associations of neighborhoods ”. This civic center will be operational in the next few days.
The construction project of the municipal branch has been developed by the municipal technicians and with its entry into operation the premises of Maravall street joins the other branches that already exist in the city in Els Tolls-Salt de l'Aigüa (Avenida Andalucía, 9), Foietes-Colonia Madrid (Avenida Beniardá, 61), La Cala (Calle Secretary Juan Baldoví, 2) and Rincón de Loix (Avenida Juan Fuster Zaragoza, 1 acc.).
