New self-employed workers and companies can now apply for municipal aid that the Department of Employment and Local Development annually launches to support the launch of new businesses and activities in Benidorm. A line of aid that "this year, and taking into account the current economic situation marked by the pandemic, doubles the amount that the beneficiary projects and entrepreneurs will receive", as recalled by the area councilor, Mónica Gómez.
The mayor has indicated that "at this time, it is more necessary than ever to facilitate and encourage the implementation of new activities and businesses in Benidorm capable of generating employment or self-employment, and hence this line of aid has been given a boost, with which entrepreneurs who want to develop their project in our city are supported ”.
Thus, in the 2021 call it is stated that entrepreneurs who establish themselves as self-employed with tax domicile in Benidorm, registered in the city and who meet all the requirements included in the bases will receive 800 euros; while those who also process an opening license at the City Council will receive 1,200 euros. In previous years these grants were 400 and 600 euros respectively.
As a novelty, an aid of 800 euros is also contemplated for the self-employed with tax domicile in Benidorm, who are not registered in the city, but who process the license to open their business in the municipality.
The mayor explained that "once the bases of the aid have been published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), entrepreneurs can apply to take advantage of this call at any time of the year." The procedure must be made on the web (https://sede.benidorm.org) once the documentation available in the Employment section of the municipal website (www.benidorm.org) has been downloaded, where bases of this call can also be consulted.
Gómez has pointed out that "as we have already done with other calls for aid, we are going to provide this line with the necessary resources to support self-employed and entrepreneurial people who decide to bet on Benidorm and to contribute with their bussinesses or activities to increase the productive fabric of the city and, with it, employment. ”“ Supporting the productive fabric, businesses, professionals and companies of Benidorm has been one of the priorities of this government since the pandemic broke out and it will continue to be, mobilizing for this, all the resources available to the City Council ”, he stressed.
