Música, conciertos, conferencias y exposiciones, protagonistas de la programación cultural de Benidorm en septiembre y octubre

The concerts, recitals, conferences, and exhibitions will be the main protagonists of the cultural programming of Benidorm City Council for September and October, which has already been finalized and appears on the municipal website www.benidorm.org

The programming starts on September 1 with the Cycle of Great Recitals with ''El violonchelo de los mil acentos" by Matthieu Saglio. It will be at 8 p.m. in the City Hall Assembly Room. The cycle will be completed on October 20 at 8 p.m. with Ensemble 'Il Valenciano' also in the Assembly Hall.

Organ fans have two essential events at the XI International Organ Festival. The first will be on September 29 in the church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, at 8 p.m. with 'Cor de Nuit Trio and Gurutze Beitia. The second will take place on October 27 at the same time and place with Enrico Tricario and Lumina Ensemble.

Music will have a main role these next two months. First, on September 8 Afratex Lyric Gala in the Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. On the 16th, Antonio Berenguer Polyphonic Choir from Polop and the Choral of Unión Musical of Benidorm will perform in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m.

A week later, the XXII Villa de Benidorm Festive Music Composition Competition will be held at 9 p.m. in the Óscar Esplá auditorium. And on October 8 it will be the turn of the Concert Commemoratiu 9 d'Otubre with the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters 'Els Valerios' from La Vila Joiosa and the Symphonic Band of the S.M. La Nova de Benidorm, also within the exchange concert campaign. It will be at noon at the Cultural Center.

In the exhibition chapter, from September 21 to October 17 you can see the exhibition of drawings 'Sobre mujeres ninfas y otras miradas' in the Espai d'Art of the City Council. From September 19 to October 3 at the Cultural Center, 'The Caves of Steel', by Manuel Álvarez Diestro, will be exhibited. Benidorm and the vertical cities of Southwest Asia, by the Alicante College of Architects.

As for the conferences, the talk 'Hablemos de eutanasia' by Dr. Marisa Velasco at the Casa del Fester has been scheduled for September 13 at 6:30 p.m. on the occasion of the XX Alzheimer's Week. On the 21st, at 6:30 p.m., the Cultural Center will host the round table 'Arquitectura y Urbanismo. Benidorm en la semana de la arquitetura'. The conference cycle closes on October 6 at 8 p.m. with the concert conference 'Arte y Ciencia' by Gema Martínez and María Eugenia Palomares in the multipurpose room of the Conservatory in the Cultural Center.

In October the sixth 'Marina Baixa Heritage Days' will also be held. Thus, on the 20th, presentations and a round table were organized with the title 'La segona part del s.XX. Torisme y altres temes' in El Torrejó. The next day, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be presentations and a round table about Pedro Zaragoza. The conference will close on the 22nd in the City Hall Assembly Hall with 'Benidorm en el cine' and at noon with a cultural route through the city.

Finally, amateur theater also has a place in the cultural program with a dramatized reading of the play 'Don Juan Tenorio' by Tossal Teatre and Alpí Teatre in the Assembly Hall at 7 p.m.
