The Municipal Library begins a solidarity collection of food and personal hygiene products in collaboration with the Red Cross
The Central Library today has started a solidarity campaign to collect food and personal hygiene products, which will later be distributed by the Red Cross to those people or families who need them. On this occasion, this solidarity campaign will focus on the collection of cans, preserves, canned prepared foods and personal hygiene products, including masks and hydroalcoholic gel.
The Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, has indicated that "these pre-Christmas and Christmas dates, in which many families go to the library to enjoy reading and recreational activities around books, are an unbeatable occasion to that the smallest of the house also participate in this action and its solidarity value ”.
Pellicer has encouraged citizens "to collaborate with this initiative and thus contribute their bit to help people who need it most."
The products can be delivered to the premises of the Central Library, located at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España, until next January 10.
