The Horizontes group of the city has organized the contest after winning the edition of last year
More than 1,300 'scouts' participate in Benidorm in the LVI Festival of Cançó Scout
More than 1,300 scouts from all over the Valencian Community have participated today in Benidorm in the LIV Festival of Cancó Scout, which was held in Julio Iglesias auditorium of Parque de l'Aigüera. A festival in which the Horizontes de Benidorm Group has acted after winning the last edition, and in which San Cristobal 170 Group of Alboraya has proclaimed itself the winner, for which it will represent Valencian Scouts in the national contest to be held in May in Palencia.
Organized jointly by Horizontes group and Valencian Scouts, the festival has also had a solidarity aspect. Thus, the registration of the event has been donated to the Spanish Association Rubistein Taybi Syndrome, and Benidorm Solidarity Social Center has received the kilos of non perishable food contributed by the participants.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, has been in charge of delivering one of the prizes of this festival; while the Councilor for Urban Development, Lourdes Caselles, has been a member of the jury that has assessed the actions taken by the different groups that have participated in the contest.
Horizontes Benidorm Group received last December, and coinciding with its 40 years of activity, the Corporate Medal of the city.
