Mobility reports traffic cuts due to infrastructure renovation works on Capitán Cortés Street

The Department of Mobility reported today about the traffic cuts for next Monday, February 17, due to the renovation of hydraulic infrastructure in Capitán Cortés Street. The first phase of these works, which will affect the road, will focus mainly on between Capitán Cortés and Guadalest Streets for approximately a month and a half.

During these works, the section of Capitán Cortes between Rejoneador Ginés Cartagena and Guadalest Streets will be closed to traffic. Residents with garages on Guadalest will access them through Estación Street. While the cut is in force, Guadalest will remain a dead end.

Likewise, the pedestrian passage will be accessible in the area surrounding the work, not affecting access to educational centres or the Ciudad Deportiva ‘Guillermo Amor’.

Users who wish to access the sports facilities by vehicle must do so via Foietes Avenue.
The water infrastructure renovation is valued at around 400,000 euros and the execution period for the different phases of the work is four months. This project includes the comprehensive renovation of the drinking water supply network, the sewerage system and the stormwater network, as the current infrastructure is more than 30 years old and has deficiencies that affect the service.

With this project, the City Council intends to provide a global solution to these services and take advantage of the opportunity to improve the urban scene and plant trees.
