Mobility reports traffic cuts due to the departure of the second stage of La Vuelta 2019 on Sunday
The Department of Mobility has reported on the traffic restrictions that will be in certain points of Benidorm during next Sunday morning, August 25, on the occasion of the departure of the second stage of La Vuelta 2019. Specifically, there will be two cutting times : one that will affect the surroundings of the exit zone of the stage - next to Foietes Park - and a second that will be limited to the test route.
Thus, between 08.00 and 13.00 the access to Mercasa will be cut off to traffic through Foietes Avenue and the streets Capitán Cortés, Virgen de la Macarena and Alcalá. In this way, the vehicles that circulate along the avenue of Foietes in an ascending direction will be diverted by the Virgen de la Almudena street; while those who pass through Capitán Cortés must continue along Guadalest Street. During the duration of this restriction, buses that perform customer collection services at the hotels in Colonia Madrid must park at the temporary stop that will be located at the bottom of 9 d’Octubre Avenue.
With regard to the streets through which the stage will run and adjacent roads, traffic will be suspended half an hour before and after the test, between 11.30 and 12.30. The streets and avenues through which the corridors will pass are: Goya, Beniardá, Jaime I, Armada Española, Vicente Llorca Alós, Villajoyosa, Juan Pablo II and Alcalde Eduardo Zaplana.
To avoid the entry of vehicles in the route, traffic will be cut in the streets perpendicular to these roads. Alternative itineraries will be duly marked.
