Mobility informs neighbors and merchants of the changes in circulation because of the works on Pérez Llorca street
The Department of Mobility and Works have informed today the neighbors and dealers of Doctor Pérez Llorca street of all the details about how the semi-pedestrianization work will be developed, what the execution deadlines will be and how the traffic will be organized while the works last.
In a meeting held at the City Hall, the councilman of both areas, José Ramón González de Zárate, a municipal technician and the person in charge of the work have moved that the section of Pérez Llorca located between Valencia and Martínez Alejos streets will be closed to traffic throughout the day of tomorrow or on Wednesday. From that moment, the vehicles that want to access the old town must do it by Paseo de Levante. Specifically, the vehicles will go down Valencia Street to Alcoy Avenue, and from here they will go in the direction of El Torrejó until Plaza del Torrejó, which also changes direction, where they will link with Ricardo Street to enter the old town. .
De Zárate has stressed that "all these changes will be indicated with work signage" so that "drivers know at all times where they have to circulate", and stressed that "in addition to informing, we have convened today's meeting with the objective that neighbors, merchants and interested could transfer their concerns about the project and its execution. "
These works were auctioned for 469,921.60 euros and intend to make a section of Pérez Llorca street pedestrian creating a zig-zag itinerary, which will force vehicles that travel this 160-meter journey to do so at a rate much lower than today's . In adition to that, at the two ends of the street are going to be installed folding bollards.
