The mayor highlights the efforts of Hosbec in "innovation and quality" in the 40th anniversary of its creation
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, today has congratulated the members of the Hostelera Business Association of Benidorm, Costa Blanca and Comunidad Valenciana (Hosbec) during the traditional Christmas gathering, which this year also celebrated the 40th anniversary of its foundation. The event was attended by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer; representatives of the municipal groups of the Corporation and business associations and citizen groups. In addition to the current president of Hosbec, Toni Mayor, the event was attended by all the presidents that Hosbec has had during these 40 years except for Francisco Savall, who excused his attendance, and Domingo Devesa, deceased. Manuel Navarro Padilla, Rafael Ripoll, José María Díez and Pere Joan Devesa were present.
The mayor stressed that talking about Hosbec is "talking about Benidorm and tourism in capital letters, and it is also talking about a personal and entrepreneurial effort of men and women who, throughout its history, have made it possible for Benidorm to be what is today". Toni Pérez also highlighted the firm commitment that Hosbec has always made for innovation and quality when it comes to renewing the hotel offer, "because that is the only way to maintain or renew the positioning of a tourist destination." He also pointed out that Hosbec had been characterized by applying intelligence and sustainability in its companies "because it is not intelligent, said what is not sustainable". The mayor also indicated that the trajectory of Hosbec in these first four decades had also been characterized by "responsibility and commitment to society."
