Minute of silence in repulse of the violence of gender and in memory of the murdered woman in Almería
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, together with representatives of all municipal groups, workers and neighbors, have condemned the sexist violence that has once again claimed the life of another woman, this time in the hamlet of Burjulú, in Cuevas de Almanzora, Almeria.
The crime happened yesterday morning. The woman, of Paraguayan nationality, had not submitted any previous complaint for ill-treatment against the alleged aggressor, a native of Bolivia, who was in the process of separation. The man, after committing the murder, also ended his life.
The municipal official in the area of Equality, Paquita Ripoll, has shown her "most absolute and energetic repulsion, condemnation and rejection of all types of violence, especially against women" and reminded women "to feel threatened" telephone the number against gender violence, 016, which leaves no trace on telephone bill.
