The Marina Baixa Employment Pact, whose presidency is held by Benidorm, collaborates with the La Merced Migrations Foundation in the development of a training course for supermarket staff. To this end, the councillor for Employment and Local Development of Benidorm, Mónica Gómez, has delivered the teaching material necessary for its delivery. The course is financed by the Training Point of the 'Incorpora' program of Fundación La Caixa.
The course will begin on January 16 with the name 'Supermarket Personnel Course: Fresh product, replacement and checkouts'. This is a free theoretical-practical training that will take place in Benidorm until March 15, in which training practices will be carried out in supermarkets in the area. Among the contents of the course are topics such as transversal skills, with a duration of 100 hours, fresh products, with 60 hours, and non-work practices will also be carried out in companies, with a duration of 90 hours, in supermarkets in Benidorm. and Finestrat.
The Pact for Employment in the Marina Baixa reports that there are still places available to access this training action, whose users come from different municipalities in the region. The course is characterized by having a high level of job insertion, since students will be trained in occupations that are in high demand in the labour market today. La Merced Migrations Foundation, through La Caixa's 'Incorpora' program, has been developing different job orientation and intermediation actions in the municipalities of Altea, Benidorm and La Vila Joiosa since 2020, a collaboration that is intended to be promoted through the Pact for Employment of the Marina Baixa, which brings together 18 municipalities in the region.
