L'Illa Sociedad Musical offers a concert on Sunday on the occasion of the International Women's Day
This coming Sunday, March 3, L'Illa Sociedad Musical will star in the commemorative events of the 8-M International Women's Day a concert at the Cultural Center. The event, which is part of the 'Culture for Equality' cycle, is organized jointly by the Departments of Culture and Equality and will take place at 6 p.m. with free admission until capacity is reached. It is titled 'Dones i Musica: un binomi creatiu' and is part of the 'XXIX Campanya de Música als pobles'.
This is the third of the events scheduled to commemorate 8-M after the conference last Tuesday by Ángeles Valdivieso about 'Women in the Bauhaus' and the XXIII Meeting of Women of the Marina Baixa, which is held every year on an itinerant basis and which on this occasion it is celebrated today, Friday, March 1, at Auditori de La Nucía.
The program will comprise two parts. In the first, the pasodoble 'Llamas de arte' by María Dolores Soriano, the work 'Bajo el puente de Las Palmas' by María José Belenguer, and 'Stonege' by Sara Galiana will be performed. The second part will begin with the piece of music 'Luisa Font', by the composer Andrea Picó, which will continue with 'Cleopatra' by Amparo Edo and will close with the medieval poem 'Juana de Arco' by Ferrer Ferrán.
The concert will be directed by Inma Mateu and Felip Lanuza.
