The Commission of Sant Antoni 2023 already has new members
L'Horta and its neighbors commemorate the festival of Sant Antoni for yet another year
This morning the traditional blessing of animals took place in the Hermitage of Sanç, which takes place every year on the occasion of the celebration of the festival of Sant Antoni.
At 10:30 a mass was celebrated by José Luis Rodes, parish priest of Nuestra Señora del Mar, which brought together many residents of l'Horta and residents in Benidorm. There was the mayor, Toni Pérez, along with the Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, accompanied by other members of the Municipal Corporation.
Also present were the new queens of Festes Majors Patronals 2022, Aila Merenciano and Chloe d'Hebroodt, accompanied by the president of the Comissió, José Vicente Fuster and that of the Associació de Penyes 'Verge del Sofratge', Adrián Romero, along with to members of the festive groups that are celebrated in the Hermitage such as Sant Isidre, El Roser or Cabalgata de Reyes.
During the religious act, the priest has blessed the loaves that, later, have been distributed among the assistants and residents of l'Horta and the festive groups have offered the saint products of the land. After the religious ceremony, the priest announced the names of the foremen and foremen who will form the Comissió de Sant Antoni 2023.
Shortly before noon, Rodes has proceeded to the blessing of the animals that put the final point to the events held this year in honor of Sant Antoni this year in Benidorm.
