Last days to register for Aula d'Idiomes, which offers English, French and Spanish courses for foreigners

Once again this year, the Department of Education has launched the 'AD'I' program, the municipal Language Classroom, which offers English, French, and Spanish courses for foreign residents at different levels and whose registration period ends in a few days. The councilor of the department, Maite Moreno, recalled that the Language Classroom “is open to people over 14 years of age who wish to acquire knowledge of other languages that allows them to communicate in everyday situations.” 

Specifically for this course, the Language Classroom offers English levels A1 (beginner) and A2 (elementary); French ‘Parlez Francais’ (elementary); and Spanish for foreigners, A1 and A2 and B1 in the modalities of oral skills, grammatical skills and DELE (preparation for the Spanish as a foreign language diploma).

Moreno reported that the English courses “will be taught through the online beEnglish Lab platform of Miguel Hernández University” and also in person.

Registration is open until this Friday, September 15, and can be formalized in the Education Department, located on the 3rd floor of City Hall. However, if during the ordinary period, there are vacancies in some of the levels, registration would be maintained for a few more days. To formalize registration, you must fill out the application form and provide your DNI, NIE, or passport, as well as your bank account number if payment for classes is to be made by direct debit.

The person in charge of Education indicated that "classes will begin on September 18 and 19, depending on the group, in the new multipurpose building next to the CEIP Leonor Canalejas, on Escuelas Street, and will continue until May."

The price of the Language Class is 37.49 euros, although there are discounts ranging from 10% to 100% of the price for large or single-parent families, retirees, Youth Card users, former students, or people with disabilities.
