The Social Center José Llorca Linares welcomes this morning the IV Medical Conference organized by AERBECO (Association of Rare Diseases of Benidorm and District), first of the activities organized to mark the World Day of Rare Diseases to be held on the 28th of February under the slogan 'Rare diseases: a global challenge, an integral challenge'.
The ediles María Jesús Pinto and Lorenzo Martínez have accompanied the members of AERBECO, with their president Juan Miguel Martínez Bueno at the helm. The days will conclude with a convivial meal to raise funds to help the different projects carried out by the association in the region.
The neurobiologist Nuria Piñeiro Martínez has made a presentation on cell nutrition, while Ginés González Serrano has exposed the benefits of physiotherapy for different conditions. Maria Lutgarda Romero, whose son suffers from Midas Syndrome, has also intervened to tell her experience on how to cope with a rare disease.
AERBECO also organizes, on February 27 at 6:00 pm in the auditorium of the La Cam Foundation, the screening of the film 'Luces', a story of overcoming Arnold's syndrome. On the 28th at 12:00 a reading of the manifesto will be carried out at the main door of the Benidorm Town Hall on the occasion of the World Day of Rare Diseases.
