'II Solidarity March Against Oblivion' organized by Mont Benidorm Neighborhood Association for benefit of AFA Marina Baixa

‘II Marcha Solidaria Contra el Olvido’ organizada por la Asociación de Vecinos Mont Benidorm a beneficio de AFA Marina Baixa

The Association of Neighbors Mont Benidorm organizes next Saturday, September 22, the 'II Solidarity March Against Oblivion' for benefit of the Association of Relatives, Patients and Collaborators of Alzheimer's Marina Baixa (AFA). The president of the neighborhood association, Maria Teresa Garrido, has been accompanied today in the presentation of this march by the councillor of Citizen Participation, María Jesús Pinto, and Social Welfare, Angela Llorca.

Garrido recalled that "last year more than a hundred people participated and a thousand euros were raised, a figure that we hope to exceed this year". The march will leave on Saturday at 7:00 pm from Paseo de Tamarindos and will go up through the Tossal to the Hermitage, where there will be drinks and food at popular prices to collaborate with AFA. There will also be a raffle in which two tickets will be raffled for 'Iberia Festival', which is held in Benidorm next October.

María Jesús Pinto underlined "the solidarity of the residents of Mont Benidorm with a cause that we join and that we support from the City Council", and invited the citizenship to "participate to get as much support as possible". In the same sense, Angela Llorca said, stressing that "Benidorm is involved from all areas to help many associations," in addition to leaving evidence of the support of the Department of Social Welfare in all events that take place during the 'Alzheimer's Week'.
