Hoguera La Cala celebrates its main days during the festivities in honor of San Juan

Hoguera La Cala celebrates its most important days during this time of year, celebrating Alicante's quintessential festival: the festivities in honour of San Juan, which will culminate tomorrow, Tuesday. The Councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, congratulated the La Cala commissioners, their president, Pedro Castro, and especially their Bellesa del Foc, Claudia Salas Suárez; the Children's Bellesa, Nerea Cerrato Casado; the Children's Lady of Foc, Valentina Baldó Martínez; and the Cremaora d'Honor, Paula González de Zárate Such, for "keeping the Bonfire festivities alive in La Cala neighbourhood and throughout our town, thus supporting a tradition of more than forty years in Benidorm."
This afternoon, starting at 7:00 p.m., the Flower Offering will take place after a prior gathering in the Plaza de las Tiendas, from where the procession will head to the Church of San Juan Bautista. This event follows other events already held at the "racó fogueril" on Murtal Street, including parades, themed parties, and gatherings among foguerers.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, the main day of the Hogueras, a mass will be held at noon in the same church of San Juan Bautista, followed by the firing of a mascletà (fireworks) starting at 2 p.m. on Santander Street. That evening, starting at 10:30 p.m., the Noche de la Cremà (Night of the Cremà) will begin, during which this year's children's and adult monuments will be reduced to ashes to conclude this festive cycle and pave the way for the beginning of the 2026 Hogueras.
