High participation in Youth Summer Programme with a varied activity programme
The first two weeks have come to an end with 48 children and teenagers aged between 10 and 16 participating in the programme, which has offered workshops, sports, excursions and other leisure activities
Benidorm City Council’s Youth Department has concluded the first fortnight of the 2026 Summer Programme, an initiative aimed at children and teenagers aged from 10 to 16 in July and August. The programme’s objective is to provide an educational, active and healthy leisure alternative during the school holidays. Benidorm Mayor Toni Pérez and Councillor for Youth Ana Soliveres visited the classrooms where the programme is being held this morning and greeted the participants, wishing them a happy summer.
48 children and teenagers aged between 10 and 16 took part in this first session, divided into groups of 12 participants to provide more personalised attention and ensure the proper development of the scheduled activities.
During two weeks, participants enjoyed a varied programme combining learning, sport, creativity and social interaction. Activities included emotional intelligence workshops, robotics, recycling and crafts sessions, board games, “Got Talent”-style activities, water games, hiking routes, visits to the beach and municipal swimming pool and cultural excursions.
Through this programme, the Youth Department continues to promote values such as teamwork, respect, creativity and cooperation, while also providing families with childcare and work-life balance during the summer period, as Councillor Ana Soliveres explained.
The Summer Programme will continue over the coming weeks with the remaining two sessions, maintaining the same activities and reduced-size groups to offer a high-quality educational and leisure experience for young people.
