'Hamlet' puts an end to Benidorm Amateur Theater Show
The Amateur Theater Festival, organized by the Department of Culture and directed by Jaime Jesús Pérez, and which has taken place this April at the Cultural Center, has come to an end with the staging of 'Hamlet', by William Shakespeare, by the Benidorm company Tossal Teatre.
More than 300 people gathered at 8:00 p.m., among them, the councilors of the government team, Maite Moreno and Ángela Zaragozí, in the Auditorium of the municipal building to enjoy one of the best-known works by the English writer whose plot takes place in the Middle Ages, in Denmark, after the assassination of the king at the hands of his brother, when the ghost of the monarch asks his son Hamlet (like him) to avenge his death, which triggers the tragedy.
On April 14, the Municipal Theater Workshop opened the show with 'La comedia de las mentiras', by Pep Antón and Sergi Pompermayer. On the 21st it was the turn of Alpí Teatre, with 'Las gracias mohosas', by Feliciana Enríquez de Guzmán. Lastly, last night, Tossal Teatre's 'Hamlet' brought it to a close.
