The full session urges to Conselleria to resume as soon as possible the works of the IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch, paralyzed for several weeks

30 April 2018
El pleno insta a Conselleria a retomar cuanto antes las obras del IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch, paralizadas desde hace varias semanas

The full body of the corporation has approved urge and require the Ministry of Education that "as soon as possible" take the necessary steps to resolve quickly and definitively the causes that have led to a new stoppage of the expansion works of the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) Pere Mª Orts i Bosch, and for them to resume "with full security and efficiency". The corporation has adopted this resolution in response to the request made a few days ago by the School Council of the center to the mayor, Toni Pérez, who also manages the Education area.

Likewise, the plenary session has endorsed the proposal of the councilor for Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, to ask the Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies to provide the necessary resources to resolve the pending Dependency files of 2017 that affect people registered in Benidorm. Otherwise, the motion proposes as an alternative that the Ministry decides to delegate to the City Council "the processing of these files of 2017" and that the municipal services adopt the precise organizational measures to ensure the resolution of these cases.

All members of the corporation have endorsed the proposal of the mayor to create a universal accessibility department, cross-cutting, and integrate it within the Department of Mobility, which would be called Mobility, Traffic, Transportation and Accessibility. This proposal is based on the conception of accessibility as "an essential and necessary condition in all municipal management" that should impregnate "the activities, programs and policies" developed by the different areas of the City Council.

The entire corporation has approved to propose as new patron of the Visit Benidorm Foundation Francisco Juan Martínez, current director of the Valencian Institute of Technology and Tourism Center (CdT) 'Domingo Devesa', replacing the recently deceased Roc Gregori. In case of accepting this appointment, Francisco Juan Martínez will be one of the three employers of free appointment of the City Council together with Fernando Vera and Pere Joan Devesa.

Also unanimously, it has been agreed to extend to the municipal workforce the paid leave from the first day of week 37 of pregnancy until the date of delivery, and from week 35 in case of multiple gestation.

With the same result, the corporation has supported the proposal for the appointment of members and alternates of the Municipal School Council; and also authorize, through the figure of a public concession, the occupation of the public road for the installation of an elevator on Jilguero Street, thus improving the accessibility of one of the buildings on this road.

During the session, an extrajudicial credit recognition amounting to 125,126.15 euros was also approved by majority.

In the same session, a decree of assignment of a low-voltage underground line to supply electricity to a new public lighting control center on Admirall Bernat de Sarriá avenue was ratified.

In the same way, the accounting information corresponding to the last quarter of 2017 has been reported; as well as the response that the Generalitat Valenciana has transferred to the request of the full support for the campaign 'We are not adults' of Aspanion, in which it is claimed that adolescents with cancer are treated in specific oncological units instead of in the of adults. It has also been reported the decision of the FCC Aqualia SA company not to proceed with the appeal raised in its day against the extension of the water contract.
