Fiestas department programs official courses for the use of pyrotechnic material
The talks will be held on Saturday, February 18 at the Casa del Fester
The Council of Fiestas has scheduled a CRE (Consumer Recognized Expert) training course, on February 18, aimed at people who will use pyrotechnic material, without being professionals, in popular festive acts, traditions, religious manifestations, etc. For the organization of this training action, the City Council has the collaboration of the Federació d'Agrupacions CRE of the Valencian Community (FEDERCRE) and the Colla de Recuperacions Extraordinàries (CREValencia).
With the completion of this course, users receive the necessary theoretical and practical training on the management of gunpowder, recommended protection, responsible use, and legislation. In order to participate it is necessary to belong to a recognized group or association that has a person accredited as responsible for CRE Group by the Government Delegation.
Participation in the course requires to be 15 years old, with the authorization of parents or guardians if you are a minor. The other course can be done by those who are not yet 15 years old. It is also mandatory to make the registration and pay a fee of 8 euros if one modality is made, or 12 for both modalities of courses.
The course will be held in the Casa del Fester 'Diego Cano Enguera' in La Biga street, 3 in Benidorm, from 9.00 to 13.00 in both modalities and from 16.00 to 18.30 the 'Despertà' course for children under 15 years. Registration can be done in Casa del Fester or online at the PREValencia portal.
The CRE figure emerges from the publication in May 2007 of a European Directive establishing unique and harmonized safety criteria for the use of pyrotechnic material throughout the Community. This legislation directly attacked the traditional use of gunpowder in the Valencian territory, so that the Central Government and the Generalitat had to legislate to protect the popular culture and ensure the preservation of our fiestas.
