The central streets of Benidorm were the scene yesterday of the central act of the festivities of Moors and Christians, the 'Entrance' through which paraded the Moorish Hosts and Christian Troops with a participation of more than 300 people. With the music bands and the Colla Xirimiters, the Moors and Christian marches brightened up the route.
Crowds of spectators filled the streets of Benidorm to enjoy the steps of the different filaes, which took the applause on many occasions to the passage of the squadron of each of them, both men and women.
Today Sunday, after the Estafeta and the Christian Embassy, the offering of flowers to San Jaime was celebrated. The parade of floats will put an end to the party in the afternoon. Both the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, have been present at the main events, as well as several councillors of the municipal corporation and representatives of other festive organizations.
