Festival Commission resumes the contest of the poster announcing FMP2019

La Comisión de Fiestas retoma el concurso del cartel anunciador de las FMP2019

The president of the Commission of Major Festivities 2019, Roberto Carretero, along with the councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, have announced this morning at a press conference, the bases for the announcing contest of the next Major Festivities and that will be given to know the next July 25, festivity of San Jaime.

This initiative seeks the promotion and dissemination of the Major Festivities of the city and stimulate the creativity of participating artists, as Jesus Carrobles explained: "I consider it a success that they have resumed this contest, which had not been held since 2013 and which allows to involve the whole society in the most visible piece in all communication actions carried out by the Commission. "

The president has pointed out that the theme of the poster "will be based on the Major Festivities, being obligatory the pictorial allegory on the images of the Virgin of Sufragio and Santiago Apóstol, patrons of the city".

Artists can submit as many works as desired, and may even participate in the preparation of the poster. Works that are not original or may have been previously awarded are excluded.

A prize of € 600 is established for the winner of the announcing contest.

Interested parties will have until Friday July 5 to deliver the works that will be exhibited in Casa del Fester exhibition hall from July 8 to July 12, date on which the jury composed of people involved in the Fiestas will give their verdict.
