Ferran Adrià puts Benidorm as "an example for the economic model of the future"
The prestigious chef presents on the World Tourism Day his guide to create and manage a restaurant business
More than 200 restaurateurs and representatives of the tourism sector have filled the auditorium this morning to attend the conference given by Ferran Adrià in Benidorm, coinciding with World Tourism Day. The Mayor, Toni Pérez, welcomed all the attendees and thanked the presence in the city of the prestigious chef, who presented the Guide for Entrepreneurs in the Catering sector 'Mise en Place', made by CaixaBank and elBulliFoundation. The man who came to be considered by the American magazine 'Time' as one of the 10 most innovative characters in the world, signed in the Book of Honor thanking the "welcome and sensitivity" of Benidorm. "A city," which he defined in his dedication as "an example for the economic model of the future."
The mayor stressed that there was "no better way to start celebrating the World Tourism Day in Benidorm than hosting an event of this category", and stressed that the key to the success of a "sun and beach" destination such as Benidorm, continue to look for it "through work, innovation, technology, maximum accessibility and constant search for sustainability."
After the presentation of the Guide, Ferran Adrià and the mayor held a meeting in Alcaldia with students and professors of Hospitality and Tourism of IES Mediterránea and with entrepreneurs in the sector. The 'Mise en Place' Guide explains & nbsp; step by step how to start a catering business, from the initial idea, including legal procedures and requirements, business plan, competition analysis, human resources and marketing plan, among other key aspects for the achievement of project success. & nbsp; The guide gathers all the experience and knowledge acquired by elBulliFopundation team throughout its history and is one of the first results of the agreement signed between both institutions.
