Since the breakdown was detected two weeks ago, the center's electric radiators were used
The failure of the heat pump of El Tossalet school only left the center unheated in the early hours on Monday
The mayor and head of the area of Education, Toni Perez, has clarified that the failure detected in the heat pump of the El Tossalet children's school "has not left the center unheated for three weeks - as the PSOE has publicly stated at the press-, since from the first moment the electric heaters of which the scholar disposes and whose use is foreseen in case of failure of the central system were started ".
The only anomaly occurred during the weekend, when the radiators stopped being in operation, causing that early in the morning of Monday the dependencies of the center were not warmed up. This incidence happened coinciding with the drastic drop in temperatures, and it was corrected throughout the day.
During the whole day yesterday and today the stoves have been in operation. In addition, this morning municipal staff "has started up manually" the central heating waiting for the manufacturer of the device to solve the fault, which has not been resolved from the technical services of the City. According to the technicians, this fault causes the central heating system "does not provide adequate heat", hence it has been replaced with radiators.
As they have moved from the center, the dependencies of the nursery school "are at the right temperature for the development of their activities".
In any case, the mayor has asked for "apologies to the students, their families and teachers in case at any time the comfort situation in the classroom has not been what we all wanted", and stressed that "from the City Council we have insisted to the official service of the manufacturer so that it gives priority to the resolution of this fault ".
