The Events department requests a grant to renovate the audiovisual systems of Julio Iglesias auditorium
The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved today requesting a subsidy from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport to renew the audiovisual systems of Julio Iglesias auditorium in l'Aigüera Park. The Councilor for Events and Festivals, Jesús Carrobles, explained that "this auditorium hosts countless shows and concerts every year, especially since the pandemic began when it was configured as a safe outdoor venue and hence it was has chosen to improve its endowments”.
Carrobles has reported that "with this grant, the acquisition of stage lighting material with the latest LED technology is proposed, which will allow lower energy consumption and greater efficiency." Specifically, the proposal of the Department of Events and Festivals plans to provide 16 lighting units of the 'moving head' type, for an amount close to 61,000 euros.
This grant is requested within the framework of the 'Recovery, transformation and resilience plan to finance the modernization and sustainable management of the performing and musical arts infrastructures of the Valencian Community.
The mayor recalled that "with the acquisition of this material we continue to improve the facilities of Julio Iglesias auditorium so that it is an increasingly efficient, sustainable and comfortable venue for the thousands of people who throughout the year enjoy the events that are organized in this place. Thus, at the end of 2021, the public toilets were renovated, which "had not been reformed for more than 30 years and had to adapt to current regulations, mainly in terms of accessibility."
